£10.9bn Reasons to Join the Online Revolution! |

Online retailing in the UK is growing at a phenomenal rate according to a new study by retail analysts Verdict Research, with consumer spending increasing by 33.4% to £10.9bn last year. Verdict predicts that UK eRetail sales will almost triple over the next five years reaching £28.1bn by 2011 - equivalent to 8.9% of all retail spending (excluding services such as flights, tickets and insurance).
 One reason for this exponential growth in eRetail is the UK government's positive strategy to deregulation of the telecoms market and the explosion in providers of affordable and fast broadband to an increasing percentage of the population. This has created new and exciting opportunities for both traditional 'bricks and mortar' retail stores and entrepreneurial sole traders.
