![]() We’ve all heard the horror stories about the amount of sick days, legitimate or otherwise, that are taken in the UK each year. Big businesses can easily absorb the temporary loss of a member of staff due to illness, but for SMEs, the knock-on effect is more pronounced. However, simple and basic steps can be taken to limit that damage. It’s imperative that an adequate level of employers’ liability insurance in place, to cover liabilities arising out of injury, serious illness or even disease sustained during employment.
